Until writing these posts, I hadn’t spent much time thinking about those few years. To be quite frank, midlife mom was acting like a crazed teenager. And although some decisions were carefully executed, others were made rather impulsively. It was an transcendental experience and an uncoupling of who I was. I was redefining my individuality and what it meant to be a woman, a mother and a singular person. It was also during this time, I noticed a shift in my perceptions of those around me, the women in my life. It was apparent that I was not alone in the madness. The insanity was real and this was my Eureka Moment, my AHA to everything I questioned about myself. That is precisely when I knew midlife crisis was a “thing” for women. And it was then, that I began thinking about this forum. It took me another 4 years and endless experiences, to bring this forum to fruition. But here I am ready to journal and share my story.
