Welcome to March! I thought the Lotus is a perfect flower to represent the beginning of spring. I recently read that it is a beautiful survivor. It rises from the dark muddy waters and finds the warmth and nourishment of the light. With its roots latched in mud, it submerges every night into the water and re-blooms the next morning. With its strength and beauty, it is able to overcome all of its environmental obstacles and show the world its magnificence much like ourselves.
To all of you who have just joined us, I would like to extend a warm welcome. I post every month, although I am ashamed to say that I dropped the ball in January and February. Life just took over! Please feel free to respond to my posts or share your own story in the most current month group.
If you have read my previous posts, you will know that I have recently cut alcohol out of my life. Well, when i say recently it was in fact 9 1/2 months ago. I’m also a single mother and a perimenopausal woman, who is trying to make some sense of this current journey. So here I am journaling in hopes to gain some insight through this process. Most importantly, I feel it is important for us, as women, to unite and tell our own individual stories. Through our own collective experiences, we can gather knowledge and extend our support in order to navigate through the, sometime, muddy waters.
I look forward to continuing to share my story and to lending a listening ear to yours.
